A quiet, sun-warmed ode to late summer in New England.

The concept for Liza and Matt’s wedding was rooted in locality and abundance. Spoon tomato vines and potted herbs were worked into the tablescape alongside in-season blooms, echoing the farm-to-table menu and the coastal setting. Flowers were sourced locally and regeneratively grown, creating a natural palette deeply connected to place.

Memory guided the design as much as seasonality. Held at Liza’s grandmother’s home, the celebration drew inspiration from the flowers and textures that defined her summers there. Native grasses, foliage, and branches were foraged near the property and woven into installations, blurring the line between nature and the celebration itself.

Dahlias, zinnias, limelight hydrangea, strawflower, and cosmos carried the story through, layered with sea oats, feather grass, heptacodium blossoms, and reddened raspberry foliage. Together, the elements captured a fleeting moment in time, an expressive portrait of the last week of summer shaped by history, seasonality, and the landscape itself.
